So, this has been a crazy week.  Jessica and I went on vacation, visiting Perdido Key FL for 4 days of PERFECT weather, sandwiched in between Tropical Storm Faye and Hurricane Gustav.  Everyone we met down in the Gulf Coast area was nice … we keep you all in our prayers and hope this storm is not as bad as they are predicting. 
As of this blogging they have upgraded Gustav from a Category 3 to a 4, possibly a 5. Cross your fingers and hope the people and land in those areas are not completely devastated.
During my vacation I quit smoking …. I hope (and my wife knows) I can continue to stay non-smoking.  I feel much better, but the cravings are BAD.  Jessica is afraid she is going to wake up and I will be gnawing off her arm lol!!!!!
Of course the latest “Scott Hammer Show” is ALL about Nails, although not done the way I wish I could have done it … you know, in studio guest, Trent Reznor, exclusive never before heard tracks, etc. I can dream though, right? 
If anything, this edition of the show (#13  I believe) is a crash course/refresher for people who are either familiar or NOT with Nine Inch Nails.

Show #12 is a fun one!  
Finally a day where I was not hung-over, not pissed off, not ANYTHING but ready to entertain with the help of my two AWESOME co-hosts … Jessica and Derek.
On this show, you will learn that there CAN be relief at the pump, just not the way you expect.  Also, kick ass music and news about upcoming shows and SPECIAL guests!  We review the movie “Pineapple Express” and all in all have a good old time!
The next show is gonna be a doozy, but this one is amazing too!

Ah … all throughout show #9 in my haze of “hungovered-ness” (not a word) I kept referring to this as show  #10. 

But it did not feel like a milestone … show #10 should be majestic, amazing, riveting, hilarious.

Instead, it felt somewhat forced, although it was all my fault since I decided to drink heavily the night before and come into the studio with the WORST hangover I have had in years.

Then today I realized it was show #9, not show #10!!! 

YEAH!!!

So look for our SHOW #10 Spectacular next and join me for the latest show in all my misery!!!!

Well, we did it! Another show in the bag. 

As my wife and I lounge about in our deluxe pool (all 12 feet by three feet of not-so-even fun), we reflect on what summer means.

It means having to work even though it’s summer. 

It means hearing the ice-cream man, but knowing because of lactose intolerance it’s probably not a good idea to run like an idiot and buy your favorite ice-cream bar.

It means that those darn cicadas are dive bombing us daily.

But those are the negatives.

Warm weather, leisurely activities, bicycling, walks after dark, time together just chilling.

That’s the way Jessica and I spend our summer (along with SOME of the above mentioned!).

And of course we ALWAYS have a blast recording and producing “The Scott Hammer Show”!

So enjoy your summer, and download the show NOW!!!

Enjoy it because I am sure by the time you have fully satisfied your need to bitch about how hot it is this summer, you will be bitching about how cold it is this winter and how you wish it was summer again!

You know, 7 is a lucky number!  The 7th show is a special one.  Guest stars Tom selleck and John Schneider make the show even better ... okay so they are NOT on the show, but who knows who might drop by in the future.

My wife and I had our first ultrasound, we talk about that on the show. We repeat the same stuff over and over again, think of this as a "best of" show.

So enjoy ... and don't freebase cocaine!

You know, Derek likes to pick on me. In fact, so does Jessica. The entire “Scott Hammer Show” consists of the two of those ALWAYS picking on me. I know I am an easy target but COME ON!!!  This week’s show is fun as always and NOW available as a free download.

When I wake up in the morning I usually check my email first thing. I have not been checking it as often. I watch the news a lot less often too. All this bad news tends to depress me and my wife.
Gas prices, the failing economy, flooding, tornadoes, and cyclones. Natural disasters. 

Now that my wife and I have a child on the way, I guess I am MORE dedicated than ever to try and make this a better world.

We have a silly online radio show that is available as a free download and it’s OUR goal just to try to make people laugh.

Keep the subject matter light, ya know?

But in our daily lives we are VERY serious about improving the quality of life for ALL humans.

Do YOUR part today and try to help with the solution, not add to the problem.

Open the door for someone. Give up your parking spot. Help someone who needs help.

As I was speeding down New Circle yesterday (in a hurry to go NOWHERE as my mom always says) I realized it was time for me to stop acting like I was the most important thing and instead put other people’s needs in front of me. 

Slow it down.

Relax.

Make a difference!!!

Well kids, another edition of the “Scott Hammer Show” is up and posted, and this is a fun one. We had our first in studio guest, comedian Aaron Buckner, a good friend of mine and of Jessica’s, GOOD TIMES! He is moving out of state so we thought we’d have him on the show (gonna miss ya bro!)

It’s getting warmer outside, so get ready for the 1st Annual “Scott Hammer Show” family picnic … uh, coming sometime soon lol!! How cool would THAT be?

Any feedback you have please email us and give it! We would love for someone to help organize a “Scott Hammer Show” street team!On future shows we will have some new bands you may have never heard of and some you have. Also, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE donate to the show if you can!! There are a lot of things we’d like to do but we are on a shoe string budget and running a studio is NOT CHEAP!

Jessica and I have our first doctor’s visit in two weeks so keep your fingers crossed, we are really excited having our first child together!

Otherwise, enjoy the show my friends! Like most people I have a regular job (or irregular if you know me lol) and my hours have changed so I apologize for not always having a new show ready to go each week.

Okay, so latest show took two weeks instead of a week but this show is absolutely HILARIOUS!  Let me first say that we NEVER promote underage drinking (hell, I don’t promote “of age” drinking with the hangover I have today) and ALL of us are over the age of 21.

The new show is almost two hours, our longest show yet. We had fun and finally feel like we have hit our stride.  On the next show who knows what will happen, but on THIS show we put in a “secret” message.  If you discover what the message is, e mail any of us and let us know and you might be a guest on the show.

We reveal some exciting news about the “Hammer” family, and Derek pisses his wife off on this show, so we MUST be doing something right!

Ahhh, Friday.  My favorite day of the week! UNLESS I’m hung over. Brain foggy. Yes, I was out promoting the show all over Kentucky last night and met some fellows in a holler … I had never had moonshine before. I can’t say that now.  So I want to thank Leroy and Bobby for the spirits! Hold on … gotta go throw up …

Okay, back to the business at hand … the new show is up once again and this one is a doozy!  If you are a u.f.o. enthusiast like me this show will REALLY piss you off because I try to seriously tackle the issues of reverse engineering and UFO’s and Jessica and Derek summarily make fun of me.
Derek is now a gardener! 

More secrets from our past are revealed, secrets no one should know.

If you have a chance, head to the Kentucky Theater TONIGHT and check out the bands for the midnight show … Paradise Down and LITHIUM!  Lithium will join us on the show in the future … so keep checking back! The show starts at midnight and it’s going to ROCK! Myself, Jessica, and Derek will be out passing out goodies!

Ahhh … the feeling of finally producing something that is FUN!  Without the constraints of people telling us what we can and cannot say.  We have our archives up … our first archive. Awesome! 

We really want you to hear from you so email us and let us know what you want to hear.  If you are a band and wanna be on the show then email us.  If you are a transvestite, or a preacher, a hooker or a saint … email us!

On future shows, Led Zepplin, John Stamos AND future former Vice President Dick Cheney will NOT be on the show.  However, I got word last week that a VERY cool local band will be on the show soon. 

On this latest show we In Atlantic, young guys rockin it … these guys are young, like high school and college freshmen.  It’s so cool to have a vehicle that can showcase bands and comedians.

We are having a BAKE SALE!!! 

Okay, we are NOT having a bake sale but we might!
